Team Training & Development
Teams are a very powerful tool to improve organizational productivity, maximize the combined potential residing in employees and providing a forum for employees to grow. However, if employees do not have the requisite skills to work in teams, sometimes the results can be disastrous.
We have trained, coached and facilitated over 500 teams from many different organizations in the private, public and non-profit sectors. Our modules include training for team leaders, members, facilitators and coaches. The target group of employees includes everyone in your organization from executive to first-line.
In 2003 we formed the CENTER FOR THINKING & COLLABORATION to focus on training teams how to think and collaborate during their meetings.

All of our training is custom-adapted to meet the needs of our customers. It is presented by highly seasoned and experienced trainers with years of adult learning classroom experience. We use the results from the latest research on how adults learn. We use proven tools, techniques and methodologies suitable for all employee levels. Our training content is modified to accommodate organizational needs and provides employees with skills they easily implement in the workplace.
We have worked more than 100 different organizations from small operations to Fortune 500 companies with thousands of employees. Within these organizations we have trained over 15,000 people from executive management to first-line employees. We have trained members, leaders and facilitators for over 500 teams. These teams included: problem solving, planning, quality, kaizen, cross-functional, creative, project development and product development.
Depending on the outcomes for a particular training module, we will use a number of various methods during our sessions. The choice of certain training methods is based on research on how adults learn, and our years of experience. We may employ any combination of the following methods in our sessions:
1. INTERACTIVE-STYLE PRESENTATION – The trainer/facilitator is skilled at sharing information in a way that is interesting, engaging, motivating and highly energized for the adult learners.
2. PROBLEM SOLVING REAL WORLD SITUATIONS – The trainer/consultant/facilitator/coach will present case studies, scenarios, or thought-provoking situations in the workplace and ask participants to solve them.
3. EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING EXERCISES – The trainer/coach will present time-tested exercises to reinforce what the adult learners should be learning.
4. GROUP INTERACTIVE DISCUSSIONS – The trainer/facilitator engages participants to answer their questions and benefit from the various participant responses.
5. VIDEO/DVD PRESENTATIONS – The trainer uses this format to anchor training content and stimulate discussions.
6. ELECTRONIC COLLABORATION PROCESS – The trainer/consultant/facilitator uses the electronic collaborative process with your team, to gather information, organize the information and
and evaluate the information to make decisions. These tools can be used to poll training participants, lead sessions where some sort of planning takes place, and gather information quickly from teams. We employ a wireless LAN, laptops and Meetingworks® software during some of our sessions.
