Frank Jenio, Ph.D.

Frank has owned and managed three different businesses. Following a successful career in academia, his first position was in the automotive industry . In 1992, Frank founded Frank Jenio Training & Consulting -- working with private, public and non-profit organizations. He specializes in leadership development, coaching, performance improvement, strategic planning, change management, creative thinking, team building, complex problem solving, and electronic collaboration.

Lifelong learning has been Frank’s passion throughout his career − personally and with all his customers and colleagues. He looks for and creates opportunities to learn, grow and continually improve his business and customers.

He has helped many organizations achieve success through ethical leadership and values-based business practices. His company’s mission is to transform how people think and interact to achieve success. Frank’s energized delivery style, and proven training methods focus on turning training into learning. He works with customers as a strategic partner sharpening their competitive edge. The goal is finding solutions which provide results defined by the customer. The target is to solve problems, improve performance and profitability.

Frank has consulted with executive leaders and managers, and delivered numerous value-added training programs for automotive, manufacturing, communications, health care, banking, utilities, media, oil/gas industry, trade associations, mental health, tourism, recycling, government and education. As a change management consultant, Frank's responsibilities have included all the phases of process implementation. He has facilitated executive teams in developing vision, values, mission, strategic plan, organizational measurables and business goals/objectives.

In consulting applications, Frank applies human resource needs assessment to assist organizations in becoming more customer-focused in the global marketplace. He has designed, developed and tracked competency-based training at multiple work sites. He is experienced in business process improvement, job task analysis, curriculum, train-the-trainer and evaluating training outcomes. One of Frank's specialties is designing and administering electronic employee opinion surveys to identify performance gaps.

In 2003, Frank co-founded a new division of his company − the Center for Thinking & Collaboration. The Center combines his knowledge and experience in thinking tools along with, facilitation and collaborative business systems. He uses Meetingworks© software for the electronic collaborative process. Frank's extensive facilitation experience combined with the electronic collaboration process helps transform organizations facing intensive global competition. He is a certified trainer and facilitator for the de Bono's Thinking System Six Thinking Hats7 & Lateral Thinking. Frank has trained/facilitated over 500 teams within 100 different organizations − cross-functional, task, strategic planning, collaborative, creative thinking, kaizen and self-directed work teams.

Globally, Frank has trained, coached and mentored over 15,000 adults including undergraduates and graduates, executive management, steering committee members, facilitators, supervisors, leaders, first-line employees and team members. He has assisted customers with gap analysis for ISO-9000 and QS-9000 certifications. Frank developed an innovative training program for reducing workers' compensation costs by changing workforce attitudes through employee empowerment.

Dr. Jenio belongs to a number of professional organizations, the Worldwide Network of Certified Creative Thinking Trainers, GLIMA and the West Virginia High Technology Consortium. He frequently speaks at state and national trade association meetings; and has served on several local educational and industrial advisory groups and boards. He has published articles and books, and presented papers in both science and industry. Frank and David Kimberling recently co-authored a book entitled A Trebuchet - Launching Organizational Transformation.


Laura Stopczynski

Laura is a dynamic professional who strives to share her passion for lifelong learning. She is a highly energetic individual with advanced interpersonal skills, combining excellent communication skills, strong decision making capabilities, and a desire for excellence. Three years ago, Laura joined the Frank Jenio Training & Consulting team.

She received her academic degree in industrial psychology bringing over 13 years of diverse and challenging experience as Director of Human Resources of a multi-site manufacturing facility. Laura’s postgraduate studies include: human resource management, Meetingworks® software, electronic facilitation, employment law, Lessons in Leadership speaker series, team building, senior management, juggling competing priorities, Six Thinking Hats®, WORKPOINTS®, Franklin Covey’s training and achieving professional excellence. She is a co-founder and director of the Center for Thinking & Collaboration. Laura co-facilitates with Frank on all projects involving the electronic collaborative process.

Her expanded Human Resource role, as part of the senior management team, included the areas of corporate strategic planning, training and development, mentoring/coaching, recruitment and staffing, benefits administration, health and safety, policies and procedures formulation/administration, wage and salary administration and planning/coordination of employee functions.

In her corporate role, Laura initiated and managed numerous large projects. These projects included updating the company’s Employee Handbook, created a corporate Human Resource Policy manual, completed annual compensation studies and benchmarking. She participated in annual reviews of health, life, short-term disability, and workers’ compensation insurance. Laura also developed and implemented a formal die maker apprentice program with the Department of Labor, an attendance recognition program for hourly employees, a formal performance appraisal system and First Responder Team for work place accidents. She was also responsible for revamping the entire wage and salary administration program. Laura implemented and led a cross-functional Safety Committee.

Laura’s outgoing, people-oriented personality makes her a natural at mentoring and helping others reach their potential. As an internal facilitator and consultant, she has used her conflict resolution skills in dealing with both individuals and teams. Laura provided mentoring and coaching to executives and leaders within the company.

Laura is also a very involved member with the local schools and her community. She utilizes her facilitation and consultation skills through her participation on a citizen’s advisory committee, as an officer/board member on the Almont Education Community Fund, Project Graduation, Russell W. Ligon Memorial Scholarship selection committee, and various school booster clubs.
